The World's Most Famous Monument and Two Full Days of Tiger Safaris

A compact 7-day combination for travellers with limited time who still want to experience two of India's unmissable highlights — the Taj Mahal and a genuine tiger safari — without an overly long itinerary.

The tour opens with two days in Delhi, covering Old and New Delhi's landmarks — Chandni Chowk, Red Fort, India Gate, Humayun's Tomb, and Qutub Minar — before continuing to Agra for the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Sikandra's Akbar's Tomb.

From Agra, the route turns directly to Ranthambhore National Park, with Bharatpur's bird sanctuary visited en route. Two full days at Ranthambhore include dawn and afternoon jeep safaris, a visit to the hilltop Ranthambhore Fort, and genuine, unhurried time in one of India's premier tiger reserves.

The tour concludes with a single but full day in Jaipur — the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal — before the drive back to Delhi for departure, making this an efficient yet substantive introduction to both Mughal heritage and Indian wildlife.

Your questions, answered

No — despite some earlier marketing references to Sariska, this particular 6-night itinerary's actual day-by-day route covers Delhi, Agra, Ranthambhore, and Jaipur only, with Bharatpur's bird sanctuary visited en route between Agra and Ranthambhore. If you would like a version that also includes Sariska, see our Rajasthan Wildlife Tour (7 nights), which adds a Sariska safari at the start of the circuit.

Safari vehicle fees, park entrance fees, and camera charges are not included in the base package price and are payable locally, subject to availability and forest department permit allocation. We can arrange and confirm these in advance as part of your booking — let us know your preference between a private jeep and a shared canter.

Absolutely. Every Discover India tour is fully private and built around your preferences. We can add a Sariska safari, extend Ranthambhore by an extra day, or adjust the Jaipur portion. Submit an enquiry and our specialists will tailor it for you at no obligation.

October to March is ideal — comfortable temperatures (15–28°C), clear skies, and the best conditions for sightseeing, fort treks, and wildlife safaris. April–June brings intense heat (up to 45°C); July–September is monsoon, with some relief from the heat but reduced safari access in the tiger reserves.

Absolutely. Every Discover India tour is fully private and built around your preferences. We can adjust the duration, swap destinations, change hotel categories, or add extensions. Submit an enquiry and our specialists will redesign the itinerary for you at no obligation.

We include carefully selected 4-star and 5-star hotels throughout — heritage havelis, palace hotels, and well-appointed properties near the wildlife reserves, all personally vetted by our team. Upgrades to palace hotels or luxury tented camps are available on request.

Most nationalities can apply for an Indian e-Visa online at indianvisaonline.gov.in. Processing typically takes 3–5 business days and costs $25–$80 USD depending on your nationality. Apply at least 2 weeks before travel.

Cancellations 60+ days before departure receive a full refund minus a small admin fee. 30–59 days: 75% refund. 15–29 days: 50% refund. Under 15 days: no refund. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
