After arriving in Srinagar and transferring directly to Gulmarg, the tour gives two full days of skiing — open-slope and off-trail skiing through pine forest, with terrain genuinely well suited to both beginners and intermediate skiers, all served by ski lifts and chair lifts.
Gulmarg's skiing tradition dates back to the pre-independence years, when the slopes above the resort first became popular with skiers, and the resort remains one of the most affordable and uncrowded ski destinations of its quality anywhere in the world, with heli-skiing also available for more experienced skiers seeking untouched powder further up the mountain.
The tour concludes with a short jeep transfer down to Tangmarg and onward to Srinagar Airport, bringing this focused winter sports escape to a close.

Arrive at Srinagar Airport, where you'll be met by our representative and transferred directly to Gulmarg. On arrival, check in to your hotel. Gulmarg has long been the premier spot for ski lovers in India, with good snow conditions from December to April and modern facilities including T-bars, ski lifts, chair lifts, and ropeways. Heli-skiing is also possible here, and skiing is done on open slopes and off-trail through the pine forests. The Gulmarg Gondola cable car carries skiers from Gulmarg up to the majestic heights of the Apharwat mountains. In the afternoon, explore the Gulmarg skiing slopes and get your bearings for the days ahead.
After breakfast, take a packed lunch from the hotel and head out for a full day of skiing. Skiing from Gulmarg's upper areas has been popular since the pre-independence years, with the ski season usually commencing just before Christmas (mid-December) and continuing through April. Gulmarg is particularly well suited for learning to ski, with some of the best slopes anywhere for beginner and intermediate skiers, all serviced by ski lifts and chair lifts.
After breakfast, take a packed lunch from the hotel and head out for another full day of skiing, enjoying the best slopes on Mt Apharwat. The Gulmarg Gondola provides access to higher terrain for those seeking a greater challenge. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, a jeep will transfer you from the hotel to Tangmarg. From Tangmarg, our car will transfer you to Srinagar Airport for your departure to your next destination. Tour concludes.

Yes — Gulmarg has some of the best learning terrain of any ski resort in India, with gentle beginner slopes served by their own lifts, plus certified ski instructors available locally for lessons. Intermediate and advanced skiers can progress to higher terrain via the Gulmarg Gondola and Mt Apharwat's more challenging slopes.
