This 10-day circuit weaves together North India's cultural treasures with three of Rajasthan's most rewarding wildlife destinations — a single, well-paced journey from the Mughal grandeur of Delhi and Agra to the tiger forests of Ranthambhore and Sariska, with the UNESCO-listed Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur properly built into the route rather than treated as an afterthought.
The tour opens in Delhi — the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb, and the bazaars of Chandni Chowk over two unhurried days — before continuing to Agra for the Taj Mahal at sunrise and the red sandstone ramparts of Agra Fort, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
From Agra, the route turns toward Rajasthan's wildlife heartland. A night at Bharatpur allows a proper cycle-rickshaw or boat tour through Keoladeo National Park's wetlands — over 370 recorded bird species, particularly rich during the October–February migratory season. Two full days at Ranthambhore follow, with four jeep safaris across different zones for the best realistic chance of a Bengal tiger sighting.
Jaipur's royal heritage — Amber Fort, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal — provides a cultural pause at the journey's midpoint, before the tour concludes with a final wildlife chapter at Sariska Tiger Reserve, India's pioneering tiger reintroduction site amid the Aravalli hills, alongside the Pandupol Hanuman Temple and the ruins of Kankwari Fort deep within the reserve.

Welcome to India! Your Discover India representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. The afternoon is free to explore Connaught Place or Janpath Market for an easy introduction to the city before the sightseeing begins.
A full day exploring both Old and New Delhi. Begin at the Red Fort — a UNESCO World Heritage site and the Mughal Empire's greatest fortification in red sandstone. Visit Jama Masjid (one of South Asia's largest mosques) and Humayun's Tomb — the architectural forerunner of the Taj Mahal, set within formal Mughal gardens. End the day with a classic rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk's spice and silver lanes.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Agra (about 3–4 hours). Visit the imposing Agra Fort — a UNESCO World Heritage site and Mughal stronghold in red sandstone. Evening: watch the Taj Mahal turn amber at sunset from the gardens of Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna River.
Rise early for the Taj Mahal at dawn — the most celebrated view in India, and entirely worth the early alarm call. After breakfast, drive to Bharatpur (55 km, ~1.5 hrs). Check in, then head straight into Keoladeo National Park (UNESCO World Heritage) for an afternoon cycle-rickshaw or boat tour through the wetlands — painted storks, herons, and (October–February) migratory species from Siberia and Central Asia.
Morning: a final, quieter walk through Keoladeo's wetlands before checkout. Drive to Ranthambhore (180 km, ~4 hrs). Check in to your jungle lodge. Afternoon jeep safari into one of Ranthambhore's zones — the chance of an early tiger sighting on your very first drive.
A full day immersed in Ranthambhore's forest. Dawn jeep safari — the most productive time for tiger activity. Visit Ranthambhore Fort, the 10th-century citadel rising within the park itself, often included as part of the safari route. Afternoon jeep safari into a different zone for a fresh perspective and a second chance at sightings.
Morning optional safari (subject to timing) before checkout. Drive north to Jaipur (160 km, ~3 hrs) through Rajasthan's rocky terrain and roadside villages. Arrive by lunchtime — the afternoon is free to explore the old walled city's terracotta-pink walls and bazaars.
A full day in the Pink City. Amber Fort by jeep for the Sheesh Mahal and royal courtyard gardens. The City Palace, still home to the Jaipur royal family. Jantar Mantar's UNESCO-listed astronomical instruments. The iconic five-storey Hawa Mahal. Evening: an immersive Chokhi Dhani village experience — folk dance, puppet shows, and a traditional Rajasthani dinner under the stars.
Drive from Jaipur to Sariska (110 km, ~2.5 hrs). Check in to your hotel near the reserve. Afternoon jeep safari into Sariska Tiger Reserve — India's pioneering tiger reintroduction site, with dry deciduous Aravalli forest considerably different in character from Ranthambhore's lake-dotted terrain. Visit the Pandupol Hanuman Temple, an active pilgrimage site within the reserve.
A final dawn jeep safari for one last chance at a tiger or leopard sighting, or simply the pleasure of the forest waking around you. Return for breakfast and checkout. Drive back to Delhi (200 km, ~4.5 hrs) for your departure flight. Tour concludes at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Keoladeo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage wetland sanctuary with over 370 recorded bird species — genuinely deserving more than a rushed drive-through. Giving Bharatpur its own overnight allows a proper cycle-rickshaw or boat tour through the marshes at the times birds are most active (early morning and late afternoon), rather than squeezing it into a transit day between Agra and Ranthambhore.
No safari can guarantee a tiger sighting — this is wild nature, not a zoo. Ranthambhore has one of India's highest tiger densities, and with four safaris across two full days, your overall chances are excellent. Sariska's tiger population, while a genuine reintroduction success story, remains smaller — sightings are possible but less frequent. Both reserves reward visitors regardless with leopards, sloth bears, and exceptional birdlife.
Both Ranthambhore and Sariska operate a permit system with a limited number of vehicles per zone per safari slot, bookable up to 90–120 days in advance. We book all permits on your behalf as part of this tour — please confirm your travel dates as early as possible, especially for weekends and the peak winter season.
October to March is ideal — comfortable temperatures (15–28°C), clear skies, and the best conditions for sightseeing, fort treks, and wildlife safaris. April–June brings intense heat (up to 45°C); July–September is monsoon, with some relief from the heat but reduced safari access in the tiger reserves.
